But Sourav Ganguly believes Dravid should have announced his retirement after the disastrous series in England that India lost 4-0.
Ganguly said: “Dravid should not have waited for the series in Australia. In any case, I think it is a right decision. I am not surprised.”
The accident occurred by around 4.50 am after the Innova car in which he was traveling rammed into a divider. Jagathy, who suffered serious internal injuries to his chest and head, has been shifted to the Intensive care unit at a private hospital here.
The driver of the car, Anil Kumar also suffer serious injuries. He was on the way to join the shooting of Lenin Rajendran's new film. Doctors said there is no threat to his life. He might undergo surgery soon.
