Kerala fishermen murders: The saga through images

Two fishermen, Ajesh Binki (25) and Jalastein (45) were killed on 15 February off Kollam coast near Kerala when two Italian marines on board the ship allegedly fired at their boat.

Cardinal Alencherry got embroiled in this controversy when he was quotes as saying “I learned the story of the Catholic fishermen killed: it is very sad. I immediately contacted the Catholic ministers of Kerala urging the government not to act precipitately. In the episode, of course, there were errors, since the fishermen were mistaken for pirates.
